Episode 1
A Fire Girl's Fantasy



It started innocently enough, one fine morning in the Pokemon country. The sun rose high, almost grinning as Trainers and their Pokemon went about their daily lives. Trading, battling, journeying...

However, there was something else that was smiling at the sight below, as he hovered high above Hoenn. Draped in black robes and holding what looked like a scythe, the figure mumbled and chuckled to himself in anticipation

"Ahh... Such a peaceful day." the figure grinned as his gaze looked towards a small town situated at the foot of Mt. Chimney. "So calm, so serene... so boring." Raising his scythe, he flew off towards the town. "Let's have some fun!"

Lavaridge Town Hot Springs...

It was an off-day for Flannery as she soaked up the steaming hot liquid in the springs. With no Gym battles and no Badge-mooching Trainers to worry about, Flannery was sound asleep in relaxation.

Such explaining why she never noticed the figure as he hovered behind her and lifted his scythe above her head. Had anyone else been in the springs at the time, it would've looked like she was about to get reaped by a Grim Reaper.

With a mighty swing, the figure drove the scythe into Flannery's chest, stopping just short of penetrating her skin, but also allowing an orange-colored energy to flow into her. His job done, the figure vanished without so much as a stir.

"Now, let's watch the fun." he grinned.

Later...

Groggy from her nap and pruny from her soak, Flannery woke up slowly. With a yawn, she eventually managed to get herself up from the hot springs, grab a robe from nearby, and make her way for the locker room. Oddly, she felt as if she was burning up, but she paid it no mind. After all, one gets used to the hot water eventually. Totally unaware of herself, Flannery walked over to the nearby mirror and got a good look at herself.

What she saw only elicted one response: a scream of surprise. Flannery shrieked as she saw her nomally peach-colored face turned to a orange tint. Before she could panic any further, an intense feeling of heat coursed through her, literally burning up her robe to ashes. It was then that Flannery got her first good look at herself.

She was still her tall, red-headed self, but, instead of her fair skin, she now had an orange sheen on her entire body. Upon feeling herself, Flannery realized that it was... fur?!

Trying not to panic again, Flannery continued her self-examination. Her feet now resembled the paws of a fox... or a Vulpix. The biggest shock, however, was the series of curled tails protruding from her rear end. Being a Fire-type Trainer, Flannery recoginized them as being Vulpix tails.

"What... happened to me?" Flannery asked herself. "Is this a dream?" One painful pinch revealed to her that it wasn't. "Wow..." she continued. "I'm not sure how it happened, but... this is pretty cool."

You see, Flannery often dreamed of such a possibility, as did many Trainers. One dreaming of being fused with a Pokemon was nothing new to one's fantasies. But it was usually just that: fantasies. However...

"Hmmm..." the figure nodded as he watch Flannery examine her new body. "Interesting. Seeing someone like her come to terms with her new self like this is nice."

"But..." he continued. "The real fun's yet to start!" With that, he vanished towards his next stop: Cerulean City.
